Gunmen Storm Kwara Community, Abduct Man, Daughter In-Law
Gunmen on Tuesday night invaded Gaa Olobi community in Okoolowo area of Ilorin, Kwara State, and abducted a man, Kazeem Asalapa, and the wife of his son.
A resident, who gave his name as Saka, said, “The gunmen headed for a house and met only Asalapa and his son's wife.
“Since they didn't find the husband, they abducted the two of them.”
Saka further said that the gunmen later made contact with the family of the victims and demanded N100m ransom.
When contacted, the spokesman of the police in the state, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the incident, saying the victims had since been rescued but did not mention any ransom payment.
