ABS FC Cancels Screening, Retain Stars

Date: 2012-10-18

Following the directive by the owner of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club to sign only 25 players ahead of the new season, the Management of the Ilorin based club have cancelled screening of new players.

Addressing players and officials on resumption on Monday in Ilorin, Team Manager Alloy Chukwuemeka said the decision to cancel intake of new players was as result of the new policy of 25 players as well as the agreement to retain all the key players which favours continuity.

Chukwuemeka, who expressed joy over the decision of his key players to remain in the club, said ABS FC operates a transparent and accountability management which attracts players' loyalty and committment.

The former Yobe Media Chief however, thanked the club Proprietor, Senator Bukola Saraki for approving over 100% increase in the welfare packages which helped in bringing back all the key players.

ABS FC has already commenced preparation for next season and may soon move to close camping in Offa.
