31 Sporting Events is expected to feature in the forthcoming 7th Kwara State Sports Festival slated for 5th to 11th January ,2020 at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.

The Director of Sports , Coach Tunde Kazeem Stated this today at Meeting of MOC with the Local Government Sports Coordinators in the State held at the Conference room of the Sports Council.

Coach Tunde Kazeem, who Emphasized that torch of Unity of the festival will tour round the Participating 16 Local Government headquarters as from 23rd of this month in readiness for the Competition, reiterated the commitment of the main Organizing Committee to stage an acceptable Competition.

He maintained that the Deputy Governor of Kwara State , Mr. Kayode Alabi and Members of the State executive Council would be on ground on the day of arrival to welcome Contingents from the local Government headquarters where their flag would be hoisted to authenticate their Participation at a week long Festival.

Earlier, the acting Chairman of the Main Organising Committee, Mr Ahmed Adio Commended Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq for approving and releasing funds for this festival which was last held in 2005, noting the festival will Provide avenue to foster unity among all the local governments, Scout for talents, reduce Social vices among youth and restore the lost of the State as the Hub of talents.

He Solicited for the Support of local Government Sports Coordinators towards a hitch free Competition meant for Preparation towards 2020 National Sports festival in Edo State.
