The coast is almost clear for Super Falcons assistant coach, Samson Unuanel, to land Kwara United job after the interview panel headed by the Kwara State FA boss, Chief Kunle Adesiyun, scored him higher than other contestants for the job.

Not less than 12 coaches attended the interview that was conducted last week in Ilorin. Among them were Justin Tenger, Alphonsus Dike, Lawrence Akpokona, Festus Allen, Tunde Sanni among others.

SoccerStar gathered that after the interview, the panel gave Unuanel the highest score, followed by Justin Tenger and Festus Allen respectively, while Dike placed a distant fourth.

In their report to the Kwara United management, Chief Adesiyun panel recommended Unuanel for the position of technical adviser with the immediate former coach, Tunde Sanni as chief coach.

Although the panel's job was just an advisory, the Kwara United management is not binding to accept the recommendation of the panel.

However, the names of the new coaches and team manager are likely to be announced today or tomorrow.
