Lai Mohammed's Appointment, Reward For Hardwork - Kwara Group

O To Ge United Movement, a political pressure group in Kwara state on Friday said the re-appointment of Alhaji Lai Mohammed, former Minister of Information and Culture by President Muhammadu Buhari is a reward for his hard work, commitment, and loyalty to the President, ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the country.

In a congratulatory message to the ministerial nominee, Secretary-General of the group, Shehu Abdullahi urged Mohammed to do more in assisting the President in his Next Level agenda, saying the "reward for hard work is more work".

The group while commending the Minister for his performance during the President's first term said many who thought Lai Mohammed will struggle as the spokesperson for the federal government having been the mouthpiece of the major opposition party before the 2015 election were disappointed as he rendered a good account of himself to the admiration of President Buhari.

"If you recall, in December 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari assured his supporters, especially those who laboured for the party's victory that their handwork and loyalty would be adequately rewarded. We commend the President for fulfilling that promise with the appointment of one of our illustrious son, the irrepressible, enigmatic and highly charismatic Alhaji Lai Mohammed".

"Daily, the people of Kwara are praying for him for leaving the war against political slavery which has emancipated them from years of bondage. We are also happy that he discharged his duty as Minister of Information effectively well by selling the good image of the country to Nigerians and the international community".

" To us, we believe to whom much is given, much is also expected. While we congratulate him on his well deserved appointment, we urge him to keep the flag flying as a proud ambassador of Kwara state" the statement said.
