Emir of Ilorin calls for peace and stability in Nigeria

Date: 2019-05-27

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has called on people of Kwara State, particularly Ilorin emirate to always promote peace and stability at all times for the growth of the state.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari made the call in his palace when he returned from Morocco where he attended the annual World Islamic Congress on the invitation of King Mohammed the sixth.

The Monarch said no development could take place in an atmosphere of acrimony and no investor would invest in a crisis-ridden environment.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore enjoined the people of the state particularly Muslims to use the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan to continue to live in peace and be their brother's keepers.

He described the Islamic World Congress as highly beneficial and called for unity among Muslems across the globe stressing that no nation can progress without love.
