SON blames circulation of fake products on improper monitoring

Date: 2017-09-15

The Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has noted that the circulation of fake and adulterated products in the country was due to improper monitoring and communication gap.

Director General of the organisation, Osita Aboloma said this in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital at the presentation of Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) certificate to Polar PetrolChemicals Limited.

Represented by Group Head Chemical technologies of SON, Agboola Afolayan, Aboloma urged Nigerians to patronise 'Made in Nigeria' products "as they can compete with similar products manufactured elsewhere in the world."
