People of Patigi constituency have lauded the present Kwara State government for embarking on the construction of Federal Government-owned Patigi-Paada road in Patigi Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking while inspecting  the new alignment of the construction on the road, a member of the state House of Assembly, Hon. (Professor) Mohammed Gana Yisa, said that the state government had kept to the promises made during the campaigns.

Hon Yisa, who is also the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, said Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed had taken over the road construction to make life meaningful for his constituents.

The lawmaker, on behalf of his people prayed God to provide the governor with resources to complete the project on time, while also admonishing the contractor to maintain the current tempo of work and ensure compliance to specification.

While speaking on the six-kilometre Nimbo-Koro road under construction; a collaborating project between Community Based Agricultural and Rural Development (CIBAD) and the communities in the constituency, the lawmaker appealed for the extension of the collaboration to the 19-km stretch of the road.

In his interaction with the people of the constituency during the visit, Hon Yisa made a donation of three 3 KVA generating sets to Pati, Echiwada and Rokan communities respectively to power their boreholes and another one to Egwafin Development Association, all valued at N250,000, saying the donation was in tandem with his desire to make the people of his constituency comfortable within the resources at his disposal.
