Mr Sule Ajayi, the National Vice Chairman, North Central chapter of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), has called on the electorate in Kwara to demand for good governance from political leaders.

Ajayi told newsmen in Ilorin on Monday that it was time leaders keyed into the politics of development rather than that of embezzlement.

He said there was no way the state would experience genuine dividends of democracy if things were not done proper ways.

"We must do away with politics of "godfatherism" and the electorate should rise up to challenge the government on good governance. "With that, there is no way we will not experience genuine democracy dividends because leaders will try to deliver their promises and not hide under anybody.

"We are very much on ground in the state and have members across tribes in the nooks and crannies of the other states contrary to the erroneous belief that APGA is an Igbo party. "That is some of the gimmicks of our opponents and we intend to contribute significantly to the political process in the state this time around," Ajayi said. (NAN)
