The Kwara State Government has concluded plan to get rid of the incessant case of armed robber along ilorin-Bode Sa'adu road.

The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Prince Tunji Moronfoye, who stated this during a Radio Kwara Programme titled 'the Platform', said that cases of armed robbery along the road would soon be a thing of the past as security agents have been fully equipped and mobilized to address the problem.

Moronfoye, who disclosed that the State Government has partnered with the Federal Government in the areas of portable water, construction of several classrooms for SUBEB and the provision of other social amenities for the citizens, said that the State was the first to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Government on commercial cassava production and provision of irrigation facilities for all year-round farming in the state.

While responding to some questions, the Commissioner said that the state Government is doing all it could to ensure commercial production of sweet potato, adding that a company has already expressed interest in this direction.

Moronfoye added that the administration has zero tolerance for pot holes across the State and would do everything possible to make the roads motorable in the interest of the public

He further disclosed that the present administration of Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed, has engaged the service of a reputable contractor to handle the New Yidi Custom road in llorin with a view to ensure quality work.
