Date: 2015-06-17

One thousand, nine hundred and fifty nine intending pilgrims in Kwara State have paid first instalment of the fees for this year's Hajj, the state Pilgrims' Welfare Board said yesterday.

Executive Secretary of the Board, Hajia Fatimoh Abolore Jimoh, in a chat with Daily Trust yesterday said the board commenced preparation for the exercise on time to ensure its success.

According to her, the intending pilgrims are expected to pay the balance within the next few weeks. She said the board would soon commence the process of securing accommodation for the intending pilgrims in the holy land.

"Very soon, we will call the intending pilgrims for other documentation, medical screening, education and enlightenment", she added.
