Commissioner for Information and Home affairs, Mr Ben Duntoye disclosed this cheering news on Wednesday at the Government House while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting.  

The money, according to him, is meant for physical structures at the three designated campuses of the University in Molete(Moro Local Government ), Ilesha- Baruba (Baruten) and Osi in Ekiti Local Government Council of the State.
 

Duntoye also announced approval by the Council of Professor Shuaib Oba AbdulRaheem as Chairman of the Interim Governing Council of the Institution.  

The Executive Council meeting, which was presided over by the Deputy Governor, Chief Joel Afolabi Ogundeji also directed the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to constitute other members of the Interim Governing Council of the State University.
 

The Ministry, Duntoye said, would facilitate the execution of the project, adding that 70% of the project cost would be provided by the State Government and 30% by the 16 Local Government Councils.  

Also speaking, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Alhaji Bolaji Abdullahi disclosed that the constitution of an Interim Governing Council is to enable the State Government fast-track the execution of the physical development at the Institution, pointing out that it is not a substantive governing council.  

Academic work is expected to commence at the three campuses of the Institution by September this year.
