Ganaru eyes win in Ilorin with Miners

Date: 2015-04-25

Head coach of Nasarawa United, Mohammed Baba Ganaru has expressed optimism that his wards would pick the maximum points at Kwara United.

The Solid Miners will be guests of the Harmony Warriors in Sunday's Glo Premier League match day 6 duel which will be decided at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.

Kwara United will go into this encounter after losing their last two games to Heartland in Ilorin, and 0-2 loss at 3SC in their last NPFL tie.

Nasarawa United, on the other hand, will be going to Ilorin with full confidence after beating current NPFL champions, Kano Pillars 2-1 last Wednesday.

Baba Ganaru said his wards are determined to inflict more pains on Kwara United by beating them in front of their faithful on Sunday.

"We are going to Ilorin to pick the three points, and nothing would stop us because my boys are in top gear for this match.

"If Heartland were able to beat Kwara United in Ilorin by that goal margin (3-1), then we would also record a victory in Ilorin," Ganaru said to supersport.com

The last time Nasarawa United were in Ilorin which was two seasons ago, the Lafia-based club recorded a 1-0 victory over Kwara United.

United were also relegated that same season before returning this term to the top flight.
