Disregard rumour over Kisira's alleged decamping to PDP

Date: 2015-03-23

Kwarans have been urged to disregard rumour peddled through the social media that the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Elder Peter Kisira had decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mr Timothy Nathaniel, said the rumour was not only a figment of the peddlers' imagination, but false, malicious and unfounded.

The statement reaffirmed that the state Deputy Governor is a committed and active member of the winning All Progressive Congress in the state.

According to the media aide, the rumour does not warrant response but became necessary to set matters right and put the minds of the teaming APC supporters at rest.

He noted that the Deputy Governor had been a major rallying point in the Ahmed administration and would remain committed to the ideals of the APC and the leadership of Senator Bukola Saraki.
