The postponement followed rowdiness that trailed the exercise as delegates disagreed with one another snowballing into a free for all fight.
One of the aspirants who preferred anonymity confirmed the development to Daily Trust correspondent, saying he hurriedly left the place when the atmosphere "became too tensed".
Another delegate said: "Yes, the primary has been postponed indefinitely. It appears some illegal delegates have been smuggled inside".
