Abandoned Match - NFA Awards Kwara Utd Three Points

The General Manager of Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Alhaji Haruna Maigidansanma, on Tuesday praised the decision of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) to award three points and three goals to his club.

Maigidansanma, while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin on Tuesday, said he was happy because the decision showed the Nigeria National League (NNL) followed the rules and regulations of the game to the letter.

The Association's Organising and Disciplinary (O&D) Committee, ruled on the Teap FC of Abuja Nov. 1 abandoned Week 29 NNL match in favour of Kwara Utd.

He reminded the players that the job was not done yet, charging them to be focused to ensure the team gained promotion to the Globacom Premier League.

He thanked club's fans for their maturity and support so far and urged them to assist the club with prayers.

"We need the prayers of all Kwara people because the job is not done yet until the last match in Kaduna.

"The Ranch Bees match is very important, that is why we need the prayers of Kwara people now.

"On our part, we will ensure we support the team with necessary logistics," Maigidansanma said.

The Kwara United manager reassured the players and the technical crew that the management would do everything to support them to gain promotion.

He thanked the state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, for giving the team his unflinching support.

He promised the governor that the team would do everything possible to ensure their promotion to the premier league. (NAN)
