For the avoidance of doubt, I am a member of the Elders Forum and I attended the said meeting which was also attended by five gubernatorial aspirants and elders from the zone. But at no time did the Forum resolve/insist that the Kwara South must produce the next governor. Indeed, at no time was any motion to such effect presented before the forum, much less approved by everyone as the story falsely claimed!

What the Forum stands for, and continues to say, is that the best governorship candidate should emerge from any senatorial district of the state so that the PDP can emerge victorious from the election.

It is important that whoever that is behind the misinformation as contained in the news report should desist forthwith because such conduct could break up the Forum. Kwara South is not known for whipping up tribal sentiments which have no positive consequence on how our state is run.
