Kwara LP sure of victory in 2015 elections

Date: 2014-09-22

Kwara state chapter of Labour Party (LP) have boasted of their capability to win the 2015 polls in the state.

Spokesman for the party, Alhaji Adebayo Salaudeen at a Press Briefing in Ilorin, the state capital yesterday, said they would mobilise all the categories of workers across the state to see the LP as the only party that could meet their democratic expectations.

According to Salaudeen, who equally endorsed Akeem Adelaja as the Governorship candidate for the LP in the 2015 polls, "we have the edge over other political parties in the country. We are labour party and we have our members in the civil service who determine where victory pendulum swings in an election. We will give them the much needed tutorials on the need to vote us to power in the year 2015."

The LP leader described the endorsement of Adelaja by the people of Kwara Central as the right decision, disclosed how the politician had been one of the financial pillars of the party in the state.

"If we are to be honest to ourselves, he deserves what we want him to do. Therefore we executive and members of the LP in Kwara Central (Ilorin West, East, South and Asa) wish to endorse him for the position of Governor of kwara state," he added.
