PDP begins membership registration in Kwara on Friday

Date: 2014-03-27

The Peoples Democratic Party will begin registration of  members of the party in Kwara State on Friday.

According to a statement on Thursday by the Offa Local Government chapter of the party,  the registration will last for five days.

The statement, which was signed by a former commissioner in the state, Mr. Segun Olawoyin, and a former Kwara State Vice Chairman of the now defunct All Nigeria Peoples’ Party, who is now a PDP member, Mr. Wahab Whyte,  urged all members of the party to come out enmass and participate in the party’s registration.

It stated that members of the party had united and would consolidate on the recent influx of members of the opposition parties in the area to PDP.

It added that the elders of the party were committed to ensuring the victory of the party in the 2015 general elections so that the people would enjoy the dividends of democracy.

“The group (Elders of PDP) noted with satisfaction, the defection of members of the All Progressives Congress to the PDP in the area,” it said.
