Ilorin Emirate Meets On National Conference
The Ilorin Emirate Descendants' Progressive Union (IEDPU), the apex socio-cultural organisation of Ilorin emirate indigenes in Kwara State, will meet and take decisions on the proposed national conference. Issues on the union's agenda, Daily Trust gathered, include governance, power structure, resource sharing, insecurity, poverty and land use.
A statement by the IEDPU National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Salihu Abdulwahab, said the meeting at its headquarters in Ilorin would be chaired by former Grand Khadi of the state Sharia Court of Appeal, Justice Mutalib Ambali. It said papers will be presented at the meeting by eminent academics and opinion leaders.
