The chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Zakari Mohammed has distributed over 1, 000 bags of fertilisers to farmers in 10 wards across Kaima/Baruteen federal constituency.

Mohammed said he was doing the project to relieve farmers in the area the pains of struggling to get the product at a high cost in the open market.
Mohammed who promised not to run away from the people of the area, disclosed that the problem of marketing of their product would soon be over as the Federal Government has approved N300 million for the construction of Mushi Bridge in Kaiama which will link other communities.

While responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the leader of the farmers in the area, Alhaji Audu Bawa, commended the House member for his gesture noting that last year's distribution helped to increase harvests.

He also appealed to the lawmaker to assist them in obtaining loans, tractors as other farmers in Kwara South and Central senatorial districts have been enjoying, stressing that such things would improve output.
