Kwara United Commiserates With Abacha Family

Date: 2013-10-05

The Team Manager of Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Ibrahim Agboola, has expressed deep shock over the death of a former player of the team, Sanni Abacha.

The former Super Eagles player died in Ilorin in the early hours of yesterday, aged 35.

Agboola while speaking yesterday in Ilorin described Abacha as a committed player who took his job seriously while playing for the Afonja Warriors.

He also described his death as a great loss to the football fraternity in Nigeria, adding that he died when the country needed his services most.

Agboola prayed that God would give the Abacha family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Sources close to the family informed that Abacha was hale and hearty as at the close of midweek Globacom Premier League match between ABS and Nasarawa United in Ilorin.
