Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the PDP under Alhaji Bamanga Tukur-led executive council as outdated and non-existing.

The state chapter of the party has, therefore, said that it only recognised  Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje-led new national leadership of the PDP.

Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin, on Wednesday, the state chairman of the PDP,  Alhaji Isola Balogun Fulani, said "the Tukur-led PDP has violated the constitution and its national working committee should vacate office in the interest of the growth of the PDP."

Alhaji Balogun-Fulani, who was represented on the occassion by the state secretary of the party, Honourable Yemi Afolayan, said "it was under Tukur led national leadership that leaders of the party have been treating members without following due process, but rather causes disaffection among the members of the party.

"As far as the PDP  is concerned, Abubakar Kawu Baraje remains the only leader who can salvage the PDP from its present predicament and Tukur has gone," he said.

On the alleged impersonation by one Alhaji Kunle Sulaiman, as chairman of the party in Kwara, Alhaji Balogun-Fulani said the PDP in Kwara was intact.
"We are authentic PDP in Kwara and no group can lay claim to it anywhere," he said.

While describing those people behind the claim to the PDP in the state as hungry people, the chairman, therefore, said " Baraje remained our national chairman of the new PDP and Senator Bukola Saraki, is also  our leader and no one can lay claim to the PDP leadership except the affected leaders," he said.
