He said, "There was power outage in our two workshops, we had to shut down  in the workshops. But over the, we resolved the problem, and production has resumed." The commissioner assured residents in the areas that had water to expect adequate water supply very soon. He said that the two water workshops in the Ilorin metropolis had capacity for 27.5 million gallons of water per day.

Reports say that the residents of the state capital have been groaning under an acute water scarcity for more than a week due to the development.

Mrs. Morufat Akanbi, one of the Ilorin residents, told newsmen that Emir Road, Ilorin had no water for more than a week. She called on the government to assist the residents in solving the problem, noting that dry season was always tough, when it comes to the issue of water supply.

Also speaking, a resident of Opo-Malu area of Ilorin, Mrs. Kafila Gambari, urged government to do something about the current water situation. Gambari explained that the situation had become unbearable for the residents.
