IEDPU Backs AIG Jimoh, Describes Him as Champion of Peace, Fairness and Justice
The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has expressed confidence in the integrity of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Lagos, Moshood Olohundare Jimoh, describing him as a promoter of peace, fairness and justice.
The union made this known in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Suleiman Shuaib Dagbo.
According to the statement, the National President of the union, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, said members of the Ilorin Emirate had followed allegations made against the senior police officer by social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, over the Ajiran murder case.
Abdulmalik stated that AIG Jimoh, an alumnus of one of the union's schools, has distinguished himself throughout his policing career through professionalism, dedication and commitment to justice.
He noted that while every citizen has the right to seek justice, such efforts should not come at the expense of destroying the hard-earned reputation of innocent individuals, particularly public officers entrusted with maintaining law and order.
"We have absolute trust in the integrity of AIG Moshood Olohundare Jimoh. Over the years, he has proven himself to be a promoter of peace, fairness and justice," Abdulmalik said.
The IEDPU president urged the senior police officer not to be distracted by criticisms but to remain committed to the discharge of his duties.
He also assured AIG Jimoh of the prayers and unwavering support of the Emir of Ilorin and the people of the Ilorin Emirate.
