Gov. Ahmed commiserates with Emir on Apaokagi's death
Governor Ahmed, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, described the death of the eminent and erudite Islamic scholar as a big loss to the Islamic world and especially the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria.
Governor Ahmed said the late Sheikh was an audacious missioner, scholar of international repute and humanist per excellence.
“Sheik Kadri Salaudeen Apaokagi was an exemplary leader and islamic scholar of note who begrudged no one even in his missionary activities.
The people of Kwara State, and indeed Nigerians, will miss the deep eclectic preaching of and other sterling qualities of late Sheikh Salaudeen Akapaokagi”, the governor said.
The Governor prays Almighty Allah to give the muslim world and the family of the late learned preacher the heart to bear the irredeemable lost, especially at a time when the current generation of Nigerians are in dire need of moral rejuvenation.
Alhaji Ahmed urged the muslim ummah to not only take solace in the fact that the late scholar lived a fulfilled life but let his preachings impact positively in their lives.
