The Northern Concern People Forum mourns the passing of our esteemed elder and founding Chairman, Alhaji Omar Yusuf Aiyelabegan, who returned to his creator last night. His departure is a profound loss to our Forum, to the Northern region, and to the entire nation.

Alhaji Omar was not only among the foundational pillars of this Forum, he was also a man of sincerity, discipline, and unwavering commitment to community development. He consistently demonstrated humility in leadership, wisdom in counsel, and dedication to causes that promoted unity, justice, and the well-being of the people. His contributions were not driven by personal gain, but by his deep love for humanity and his genuine desire to see progress in the society he served.

His absence will be deeply felt in our discussions, our projects, and our collective journey, because he was a voice of reason, a stabilizing force, and a model of integrity. We thank Allah for the gift of his life and the positive impact he made during his time with us.

We pray that Allah forgives him, overlooks his shortcomings, and grants him Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah also comfort and strengthen his family, friends, associates, and all who were close to him.
