Kwara United Held to 1-1 Draw by Resilient El-Kanemi Warriors
As highlighted by Daily Post, El-Kanemi Warriors extended their unbeaten run in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with a dramatic 1-1 draw against Kwara United on Wednesday in Maiduguri.
Kwara United took the lead in the 67th minute when Emmanuel Ogbole converted a penalty, but the home side equalised deep into stoppage time through Risilanu Ismaili.
With this result, El-Kanemi Warriors moved up to fifth position on the NPFL table, continuing their impressive form. Their next challenge will be an away fixture against Rivers United on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Kwara United, currently sitting in 11th position, will host defending champions Rangers in Ilorin on Sunday.
