FRSC Kwara Pledges Support for Responsible Transport Practices
According to a news report from Voice of Nigeria, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kwara State has pledged its full support for initiatives led by the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) to promote responsible transport practices.
The newly appointed State Sector Commander of FRSC Kwara, Musbau Irekeola, made this pledge during a visit to the state chairman of RTEAN, Alhaji Abdulrahman Onikijipa, at his office in Ilorin.
Commander Irekeola emphasised the importance of collaboration between the two organisations to ensure road safety and encourage responsible practices among transporters in the state.
According to him, FRSC is committed to reducing road traffic accidents in the state and needs the cooperation of RTEAN to achieve its safety mission.
“We need to work like a family to achieve safety goals. We cannot work in isolation if we want to achieve safety goals.
“We will support you in educating drivers and transport members on the importance of adhering to traffic regulations,” he said.
He commended RTEAN's dedication to improving the standard of road transport operations in the state and urged them to continue to maintain their high level of discipline.
Responding, Onikijipa expressed gratitude for the visit, noting that such an interaction was vital in strengthening the relationship between the two organisations.
He pledged the association's full cooperation and commitment to working closely with FRSC in promoting road safety awareness among its members.
