KWASU Plans Document on Late Saraki for Posterity
Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has concluded arrangements to document life and times of the state's foremost political icon, Dr. Olusola Saraki for posterity.
The document that would be in written form, audio and visual forms would also serve as reference materials for future academic exercise on the late politician and philanthropist of note.
Speaking at the opening of a three-day public forum organised by the university in Ilorin, the vice-chancellor of KWASU, Professor Abdulrasheed Na'Allah, enjoined Nigerians, particularly people that were touched by late Saraki, to volunteer information on their experiences with the late renowned philanthropist and politician to ensure a quality work.
The forum, that was described as an academic gathering, saw both the young and old associates of late Saraki sharing such memories on areas he impacted on community development, religious propagation, philathropism, political emancipation among other issues.
Professor Na'Allah, who described the institution as university for community development, added that it owes people far and near the duty to provide them with quality information on the late politician.
Also speaking at the event, the Head of Department (HOD), Political Science of KWASU, Dr. Mahmud Saka, described late Waziri of Ilorin as a man of uncommon passion for philanthropism, a selfless politician and community developer.
He also said that late Saraki touched many communities like Ojoku and others, adding that he was a voice to the voiceless and friend of the poor.
