Revenue Agency Boss Encourages Prompt Payment Of Taxes
Companies and individuals in Kwara State have been urged to pay their taxes promptly to enable the government provide more social amenities that would better the lot of the citizens.
The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS); Chief Mrs Shade Omoniyi made this appeal in Ilorin while receiving the Chairman and board members of the Kwara State Television Authority.
The Kwara Tv board members were on a courtesy visit to the State Revenue House as part of their meeting with critical stakeholders in the Kwara project.
The KWIRS boss said with more revenue coming into government covers, there would be fair, just and equitable distribution of the dividends of democracy which would uplift the critical mass of our people from poverty, deprivation and want.
Huge Resources
She commended the state government for committing huge resources in upgrading all our media houses while praising the board; management and staff of Kwara TV for improving the output of the State owned television station.
The state number one tax officer expressed delight at the cordial working relationship with Kwara TV in the government area of advocacy and sensitisation.
The Chairman of Kwara Tv board, Hameed Adio, extolled the unique role being played by KWIRS in enhancing and consolidating the state revenue base without which attempts at development will be near impossible.
Be commended the management and staff of the Revenue house whom he described as corporate, smart and business like in their approach to work.
Hameed Adio also remarked that the organisation under the watch of the executive chairman, has performed tremendously well in generating revenue for the government.
The Kwara Tv board chairman then expressed the hope that the relationship between KWIRS and Kwara Tv will continue wax stronger.
