Etsu Nupe condoles with Emir of Lafiagi over FIRS director's death
The Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has expressed shock on the recent killing of Alhaji Mohammed Kudu, Sadauki Lafiagi, the Coordinator of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, for Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara states by gunmen.
The Etsu Nupe, however, expressed his condolences to the Emir of Lafiagi, Alhaji Muhammad Kudu-Kawu, Lafiagi Emirate, Kwara state government, FIRS, his immediate family and the country as a whole on the tragedy.
The monarch, in his message at his Wadata Palace, Bida in Niger state on Sunday, said that although Alhaji Kudu was dead, his legacies would continue to live on.
The Royal father described the decease as a pious, humble, generous, diligent and patriotic son of Lafiagi Emirate.
Alhaji Abubakar said his death had created a wide vacuum that would be too difficult to fill.
“It is one tragedy too many even as he prayed to God to expose the dastardly killers and restore lasting peace and security across Nigeria.
He prayed to God to grant the deceased Aljannatul firdausi and give his family the fortitude to bear the unfortunate loss with ease.
Kudu was killed by bandits in an attack between Lapai-Saminaka-Lambata road on August 7, 2022
Kudu, until his death, was the Sadaukin Lafiagi in Edu local government area rea of Kwara state.
