N4.9m Property Lost In Kwara Fire

An 11-storey was on Sunday gutted by fire in Igangu Compound, Omu-Aran in Irepodun LGA of Kwara State.

The fire, which occurred around 5am, resulted from electric power surge, according to the fire spokesperson in the state, Hassan Adekunle.

He said the property lost to the fire was estimated at N4.9m, adding that the Director of the service, Prince Falade Olumuyiwa, urged citizens to always cultivate the habit of switching off their electrical appliances before bedtime.
