Court Remands Man For Stabbing Truck Driver In Kwara

A magistrates' court in Kwara State has ordered the remand of one Ismaila Moshood for leading hoodlums to stab a truck driver while delivering goods at Gambari area of Ilorin.

According to the charged sheet, Moshood and his gang, armed with a gun and cutlasses, initially took away the driver's mobile phone in a bid to extort money from him.

“He attacked the driver by stabbing him with a broken bottle and eventually leaving him for dead in the pool of his blood,” the charge sheet added.

The prosecutor, Adebayo Moshood, prayed the court for the remand of the defendant.

The Magistrate, O.A Adeniyi, ordered that the defendant be kept in a correctional facility till July 13, 2022, for further mention.
