Imam Offa asks public servants to emulate Kwara Gov's humility, public service
Chief Imam of Offa Sheikh Muyideen Hussein on Thursday commended the humility and commitment of Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to public service, urging other public servants to emulate those qualities.
Speaking at the prayers for the late mother of House of Representatives' member Hon. Raheem Olawuyi Ajuloopin, Alhaja Sifawu, the cleric said the Governor has consistently shown himself to be exemplary in carriage and service to the people of the state.
The cleric said AbdulRazaq's simplicity, sense of gratitude and sincere commitment to serve the masses are uncommon qualities that ought to be emulated by everyone.
The Fidau prayer was attended by the Governor along with a strong delegation from federal and state parliaments, government officials, All Progressives Congress chieftains, and monarchs.
"We are lucky to have Your Excellency as our Governor. A governor that takes things so simple. You are such a leader that is humble and is committed to serve the people, and God fearing. These are also parts of qualities of the prophets," the cleric said, urging the Governor to continue along this noble path.
"If public servants are like you, they will not only succeed in office but also continue to live a better life. I expect every politician and members of your team to emulate your attributes for them to last well."
Sheikh Muhyideen prayed God to grant the late mother Aljanat Firdauz, and for Governor AbdulRazaq to succeed in office. The cleric said death is inevitable for every soul, tasking everyone to fear Allah and prepare themselves for death and the day of reckoning.
He cautioned people, especially the affluent and those in positions of authority, to thread softly and impact the lives of the masses in positive ways, saying every position in life is transient.
