New Kwara Utd. Coach Quits Falcons

Date: 2012-10-19

Newly appointed Kwara United coach Samson Unuanel has quit as assistant coach of the Nigeria women's team so as to focus on his new job.

The former Enyimba and Ocean Boys handler told MTNFootball.com that both jobs are demanding and combining both would therefore be counter productive.

"I took that decision to leave Falcons for the Kwara United job because I see that I can't combine both. They are both demanding jobs and combining both would be counter productive. I decided to quit the national team so I could concentrate on my job with Kwara United," Unuanel said.

He expressed gratitude to the Aminu Maigari-led Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for giving him the opportunity to serve the nation.

"I am most grateful to the NFF for the opportunity given me to serve my nation in that capacity. I would have loved to continue but I have to face reality. I wish Falcons all the best at the Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea," Unuanel told MTNFootball.com
