Saraki mourns ex-IEDPU President, commiserates with Emir, family

Former President of the Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has mourned the death of the ex-President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdullahi Atanda.

Atanda who served as IEDPU President between 2000 and 2004 died on Thursday, July 16, 2020 in Ilorin.

Saraki in a condolence message signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulqadir Abdulganiyu, commiserated with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the family of the deceased and the entire Ilorin Emirate.

He described the late Atanda as a worthy son of Ilorin, who served the Emirate with high sense of diligence, commitment and dedication.

Saraki prayed Almighty Allah to overlook the shortcomings of the deceased, admit him into Aljanah Firdaus and grant his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss.
