The Chairmen of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the sixteen Local Governments in Kwara State have declared resolute support for the state party chairman, Honourable Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa

They also described the recent call by a body, Orisun Igbomina, led by one Chief Gbenga Awoyale, asking the chairman to resign as crying wolf where none exists.

Rising from an emergency meeting, the Party Local Government chairmen in a statement signed by all, condemned Awoyale's statement in which he referred to the state party chairman as unelected, arrogant, lacking in capacity and running the Party in an autocratic manner.

According to the Party Chairmen at the Local level and as members of the State executive who know better, every member of the State exco has a voice in all decisions taken.

Describing the state chairman as a democrat to the core, they expressed unshakeable confidence in his leadership style, just as they argued that his actions are geared towards sustaining sanctity and fighting for the soul of the Party with a view to strengthening it.

While accusing Chief Awoyale and his cohort of doing the bidding of their sponsors, the party officials threatened to invoke relevant provisions of the APC constitution to deal with recalcitrant members.

The Kwara APC chairmen thereafter called on all party faithfuls to ignore the call, but rather remain steadfast and resolute.
