Kwara United Alfred Itching For Concluding Part Of NPFL

Date: 2018-07-20

Stephen Alfred says he is in the best condition ever ahead of the concluding part of the season and ready to help Kwara United escape relegation in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The former FC Taraba striker is in buoyant mood ahead of a busy schedule and insists he can spearhead the club's adventure in the remaining 14 games.

"It will be match after match and I believe that I'm ready for the remaining matches," Alfred told Footballlive.ng.

"The team is in high spirit. I know it's going to be difficult because every team will come at us with a different mentality.

"But I am fully fit and raring to fire in the goals for Kwara United.

"I am just praying for an injury-free season and I believe by God's grace, the sky cannot be the limit for me and the rest of my colleagues."

The top flight didn't resume on Wednesday 18th July due to the ongoing power tussle between Amaju Pinnick and Chris Giwa.

The striker urged the two gentlemen to come to the round table and resolve the issue to allow the league continue.

"As a footballer am not happy with the current development. It will only drawback our league and complicates things.

"I'm appealing to the gladiators to sheath their swords and come to a positive conclusion for peace to reign," Alfred reflected.

Kwara United will continue their NPFL campaign with a tough week 25 clash with Akwa United.
