KWARA State University's Governing Board has approved the appointment of Colonel Babatunde Ishola (Rtd) as the Chairman Film Village Investment Mobilization Committee

He is also a Member of Malete Film Village Limited where the Vice Chancellor of the institution Proffessor AbdulRasheed Na'Allah is the Chairman.

Other members are Alhaji Lukman Adam, Senior Special Adviser to Kwara state Government on SMEs, Professor Abiola Irele Provost College of Humanities, Management and Social Sciences of the institution, popular film actor and producer Alhaji Adebayo Salami, film producer Tunde Kelani and Mrs. Sandra Obiago of National Film Corporation.

Professor Na'Allah said the project "will present the opportunity for film making in Nigeria which is an economic gold mine yet to be quarried to its full potential. Malete Film Village Ltd intends to vigorously mine that economic gold.

"The unique features of this project include ultra film production facility, amusement and theme park, amphitheatre, film festivals, investment and initiative activities. Others include film/TV/radio school and computer training center. It will be an ultra-modern fill making and entertainment village that will be a pacesetter in Africa.

'Given a given population for home videos and film production, locational advantage, provision of state-of-the-art facilities, other infrastructural support and a management that will cut across both academic and practice which are drawn from home and abroad is expected to provide the project the needed edge for success".
