KWACCIMA to partner with Govt, banks to revive moribund industries in KWARA

KWARA State Chamber of Commerce , Industry , Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA) says it ? will be going ?into partnership with the Bank of Industry ?,Bank of Agriculture? and other financial institutions ? to ?facilitate granting of loans ? to ?needy? farmers in expanding their farms and farming activities ? and ? to also bring ? all moribund industries in the state back to life.

? The President of KWACCIMA , Alhaji Ahmed Adeoye Raji revealed this during an interview with newsmen in Ilorin, the State capital.

Alhaji Raji noted that with such partnership, most of the moribund industries in the state ? would be brought back to limelight while the chamber would be able to guarantee soft loans for artisans and market women.

He appealed to business concerns in the state such as artisans and market women to come forward and join the chamber so as to ease their business venture and add value to their business .

The KWACCIMA president urged the state government to reduce the charges ?of? ? Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) ?on ? ?farm lands?? as this will help farmers to access loans to enable them embark on massive farming consequently bringing down the cost of food items.

Alhaji Raji reiterated the determination of the chamber to organize a befitting trade fair this year and appreciated the state government for the ten hectares of land given to the chamber stressing that the government and KWACCIMA will partner to improve the economy of the state.

According to him , the recession the nation is presently going through is a blessing in disguise as Nigerians will now think outside the box ,shun foreign goods and patronize? made in ? Nigerian ?goods and services?.

The KWACCIMA boss ?appreciated ? ?the ? ? Gorvernment for ?providing ? a peaceful and conducive environment for the ?populace as this has brought a lot of development into the state.

However, he stressed the need for government to do more ? and praised the KWARA State governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed for his preparedness to assist farmers with fertilizer at subsidized cost.
