The statement also confirmed the appointment of Toyin Saheed as the Media Officer for the youth team.

Taofeek Babatunde was appointed as Assistant Coach to Suleiman Toume.

According to the statement, their appointments are with the immediate effect. A former player of the club, Yahaya Oniyangi, was also appointed as the curator for the U-15.

Responding to his appointment, Bashir said he is surprised by the assignment but promised to give his best while discharging his duties.

He said: "It is a break away from what I'm used to. "I will do my best to justify the confidence reposed in me.

"The confidence is a challenge.

"I will uphold the moto of the club, which is discipline.

"I promise not to disappoint the club."
