Flying Eagles tackles Prime FC, Kwara United
The U20 National football team are billed to play two warm-up games before their return leg clash against the Ngorogoro Heroes of Tanzania. The Team's Media Officer, Samm Audu has revealed on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Team's mouth piece, the Africa Champions will take on Federation Cup surprise team Prime FC of Osogbo on Sunday at the Ilorin Stadium and on Tuesday they battle local darlings Kwara United in a final test game.
Arrives Nigeria
The Flying Eagles arrived Ilorin Thursday morning ahead of their African Youth Championship second round, second leg match in the Kwara State capital on Sunday.
Audu disclosed that the Nigerian U20s touched down at the Ilorin Airport at about 8am after a 45-minute flight from Lagos and were warmly
received by Kwara officials led by FA chairman Busari Sola.
"They are booked at the comfortable Bovina Hotel.
"The team plan to have their first training in Ilorin Thursday evening inside the Ilorin Township Stadium", he revealed.
Nigeria defeated Tanzania 2-1 in the first leg clash in Dar es Salaam with a brace by Enugu Rangers striker Alhaji Gero.
