60 Golfers storm Ilorin to celebrate Gov Ahmed's 53rd birthday

Ilorin Golf Club yesterday welcomed golfers from Mic-Com Golf and Country Club Ada, Ibadan Golf Club, Ogbomoso Recreation Club and Kadariko Golf Club Kainji for the second time in the spate of two weeks.

Having participated in the golf tournament to mark the 54th birthday of the Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki ( CON) recently, they are now set to take part in the 53rd birthday competition for the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alh Abdulfatah Ahmed.

The tournament being sponsored by a committee of friends will tee-off 8:00a.m, today (Thursday) 29 December with over 60 golfers expected to compete for honours.

A welcome cocktail for visiting golfers held yesterday (Wednesday 28th of December) by 7:00p.m while the closing ceremony and presentation of prizes will hold at the club's ultra modern club house by 7:00p.m on Thursday.

According to the club's Captain Alh Layi Maliki one of the expected guest at the occasion is the former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and a host of other who is who in the golfing circle.
