A suspected ritualist (name withheld), has been arrested by men of the Kwara police command for allegedly being in possession of three fresh human heads.

The police spokesman, ASP Ezekiel Daboh, confirmed the arrest in a telephone interview with newsmen in Ilorin on Thursday.

 The middle-aged suspect, who claimed to be an Islamic cleric in the Ajikobi area of Ilorin, was arrested on Feb. 6, by detectives attached to the ‘A’ Division police station.

Daboh said that the suspect could not give satisfactory account of how he came about the human heads.

The police spokesman added that the police had begun investigation into the matter, while the suspect was in police custody.

He urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement around their neighbourhood to the police.
