APC congratulates TIC chairpersons in Kwara.
In a statement issued on Tuesday in Ilorin by the publicity secretary of the party, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the party urged the council bosses to lead responsive and responsible administrations.
Putting into consideration the thorough process that produced the TIC Chairpersons, we have absolute confidence in their capacities to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Kwara State.
All council chairpersons are enjoined to not only key into the shared prosperity agenda of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, but to also complement the efforts of Mr Governor in the unrelenting drive to make Kwara State a self-reliant state.
We encourage them to embrace financial re-engineering in the respective councils to enhance the financial strength of the councils which will in tune enable them to meet financial obligations.
Furthermore, we do expect that there will be huge investment in the agriculture sector with prime focus on revenue generation and provision of jobs for the people of Kwara State.
The council bosses are advised to look inward to derive homegrown solutions to the challenges facing the councils.
