NNL: Kwara United defeat Supreme Court to complete season's double

Kwara United FC defeated Supreme Court FC 3-0 in a Week 10 Nigeria National League encounter played at Kwara stadium, Ilorin, making it double over the Abuja-based side in the on-going campaign. Kwara United FC defeated Supreme Court FC 1-0 in the first round.

It was a good day for Michael Ohanu, as he scored a brace, netting the first goal in the 8th minute through a pull out from the left by Christian Omeruo. Segun Alebiosu scored the second goal in the 27th minute, making it his 9th of the season so far, from spot kick after Ahmed Jimoh was fouled in the vital area.

Ohanu scored his second goal in the 56th minute. Izu Omego, Odegbile Oluwasegun and James Chinede proves a bit difficult for Kwara United FC to handle, dictating the rythm in the middle, but for Abdullahi Muhammadu and Augustine Oladapo who rose to the ocassion when it mattered most.

With the victory, Kwara United FC now have 20 points from 10 matches, and will play Dream International FC of Makurdi next Saturday. Kwara United FC coach, John Sam Obuh said that the team will not relent until they achieve the Premier League target.

His Supreme Court counterpart, Ozugi Joachim said that the team's position on the table is not encouraging, but they will continue to fight to get out of relegation zone. He blamed his players for not playing according to instruction, which he said attributed to their heavy loss to Kwara United FC.
