Two die, 9 injured in 7 auto crashes in Kwara - FRSC

AUTHORITY of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Kwara command yesterday disclosed that two persons died in seven different road accidents during the last Eid-el Fitr celebration in the state. The Sector Commander of FRSC in the state, Mr. Sunday Maku disclosed this during an interview with the newsmen in Ilorin.

He said the accidents which occurred at different parts of the state during the Sallah period involved 38 persons with nine injured. The FRSC boss further said that the Special Marshals on patrol during the period took the dead ones to mortuary and nine injured to hospitals.

Maku added that 129 motorists were arrested for violating various traffic rules and 60 vehicles impounded during the period. He therefore restated the commitment of the agency to ensuring that there is sanity on roads in all parts of the state.
