Army pulls out Education Corps Commander
The immediate past Commander Nigerian Army Education Corps Major General Sunday Adedapo Adebayo has been disengaged from the Nigeria army in a colourful pulling out ceremony.
The event which took place at the Nigerian Army School of Education Ilorin was witnessed by icon of industries, traditional rulers, retired and serving military personnel.
In his valedictory speech General Adebayo thanked the Nigerian Army for granting him the opportunity to serve his country Nigeria.
He also thanked the Chief of Army Staff Lt. General T.Y. Buratai for the recent approval for degree programmes to be run in the Nigerian Army School of Education: saying "that the approval is a fulfillment of the dreams of our founding fathers". General Adebayo therefore called upon the whole family of Nigerian Army Education Corps to rally round the Acting Commander for effective takeover of this programme as soon as possible.
General Adebayo started his military career as a boy soldier at the Nigerian Military School, Zaria and was commissioned in 1982 as 2nd Lieutenant.
Before his retirement he served in various capacity of the Army which include Defence Fellow, National Institute for Policy and Strategic, Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Education Ilorin and in January 2013 rose to his peak and became Commander of his Mother Corps the same year he became Major General.
The acting commander of the Corps Brig. General Lawan Abdulahi congratulated General Adebayo for a fulfilled career, He pledged to continue from where his predecessor stopped.
