The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Dr Ali Ahmad has admonished Muslims and Christians to use the festive period to pray fervently for the nation.

He said that the call became imperative due to the challenges facing the country, urging for continuous support for government as concerned citizens to enable the country further move forward.

The speaker in his Maulud Nabiyy and Christmas message issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir, stated that with collective efforts as an indivisible nation, it would soon surpass the trying times.

Ahmad noted that the present administration is committed and dedicated to make lives meaningful for Nigerians, noting that what required from the citizens is prayers, support and cooperation for God to guide President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders aright.

He enjoined both Muslims and Christians to use the opportunity to reflect on the teachings and lives of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Jesus Christ, describing both prophets as peace lovers.

The speaker who advised them to be modest in celebration urged them to cohabit harmoniously with one another .
